About MPL
Founded in 1985, MPL Corporation is a privately-held HUBZone Certified, Women-Owned Small Business headquartered in Buckhannon, WV. MPL's team of highly qualified engineers, together with our credentialed project management staff, provide customer-focused services for customer projects. MPL's staff possesses extensive experience with most operating system platforms, database management technologies and programming languages currently in use. MPL has subject matter expertise in software verification and validation, biometric software lifecycle management, and system administration.
MPL prides itself on building successful inter-company teaming relationships. MPL's approach to deploying sophisticated information systems is conservative and cost conscious, emphasizing the use of existing tools and components wherever possible over custom development efforts. Deborah Sweda President and CEO |
Deborah Sweda has been with MPL for over 15 years. Mrs. Sweda has been MPL's financial and contract manager. In June of 2017, Mrs. Sweda was appointed as CEO and became MPL President/CEO in November 2017. Mrs. Sweda brings a wealth of leadership experience from positions within other various industries. Deborah served the WV Department of Health and Human Resources as a case manager in Children and Family Services, West Virginia Wesleyan College as the Director for Financial Aid, and multiple workforce development roles for the Bluegrass Area Development District in Lexington, KY. Mrs. Sweda leverages this unique combination of experience to ensure the successful operation and continued growth of the company. In addition to this work, Mrs. Sweda has served in many volunteer roles. Mrs. Sweda was appointed Chair of the School Advisory Board in her local community and served as Treasurer of her local chapter of United Way for six years. Mrs. Sweda has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. |

Hayes Theiling Schreurs has been with MPL Corporation since 1985. Ms. Schreurs oversees MPL Corporation’s State contracts and serves as security liaison with the federal government. As one of the partners in the business, Ms. Schreurs shares responsibility for strategic planning and overall management of the company. Ms. Schreursh as 37 years of experience in the industry and a diverse set of skills she employs to support clients and in the management of the company. Ms. Schreursh as Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Master’s Degrees in Educational Psychology and Business Administration. |

Christy Benson has been with MPL Corporation since 1996. Mrs. Benson oversees the accounting, payroll, clerical, purchasing, and employee benefits responsibilities for MPL. Mrs. Benson joined the Board of Directors team in 2016. Outside of work, Mrs. Benson has been on the BOD for Mission WV, the Buckhannon Housing Authority, and was a member of the Buckhannon Choral Society. Mrs. Benson has a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1998. |

Linda Kay Wellings has served as President of MPL Corporation 1986-November 2017. Mrs. Wellings exceptional abilities to organize, integrate, and maximize the development and personal growth of human resources has made her an industry leader. Mrs. Wellings has long been a proponent of the development of high technology companies within the State of West Virginia. Mrs. Wellings served as the Chair of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce several years ago. Mrs. Wellings also served as Chair of the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service for two years. Mrs. Wellings has been a member of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium for many years and has served on the Affiliate Leadership Council. Mrs. Wellings served many years on an advisory board for the Small Business Development Center. Mrs. Wellings is active in her church in Buckhannon and serves as the prayer coordinator for First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wellings is also involved in the community and serves as a Board of Director Member on the Freedom Bank Board, and Mrs. Wellings served eight years as a Trustee for West Virginia Wesleyan College. |
